What’s the Problem?
This recall affects approximately 319,000 PowerXL DUAF-10 and DUAF-005 Vortex Dual-Basket Air Fryers, according to a recall notice by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission [1.].
Empower Brands initiated this recall after receiving at least 41 reports of the PowerXL dual-basket air fryer breaking during use, including 3 reports of burn injuries.

The recalled air fryers were sold in black or cinnamon colors, and had a silver label on the front that said “PowerXL”.
Affected Power XL Air Fryers were sold online and at Target, Walmart, Kohl, and other stores nationwide from August 2021 through October 2023 for between $60 and $190, depending on the model.
If you purchased a Power XL Air Fryer that is affected by this recall, you should stop using it immediately and contact Empower Brands to receive a full refund.
This recall began on December 14, 2023.
