Who May Be Affected?

People who bought an Insignia air fryer or air fryer oven at Best Buy between November 2018 and November 2023 may be affected. The first recall covers eight models: NS-AF32DBK9, NS-AF32MBK9, NS-AF50MBK9, NS-AF53DSS0, NS-AF53MSS0, NS-AF55DBK9, NS-AFO6DBK1 and NS-AFO6DSS1. The first-recall units were sold at Best Buy stores and online from November 2018 through February 2022, at prices between $30 and $150. The second recall covers six models: NS-AF34D2, NS-AF5DSS2, NS-AF5MSS2, NS-AF8DBD2, NS-AF10DBK2 and NS-AF10DSS2. Those were sold at Best Buy stores, bestbuy.com, eBay and third-party sellers from November 2021 through November 2023 for between $32 and $180. A recall does not show that a legal claim exists. Both recalls are refund recalls run by Best Buy. Register at recallrtr.com/airfryer or call Best Buy at 800-566-7498. Do not return units to Best Buy stores. The Canadian notice offers a Best Buy Canada gift card for the full purchase price with a receipt. Health Canada’s unit counts differ slightly from CPSC’s rounded figures. CPSC recall 23-130 covered about 2 million Cosori air fryers sold by Atekcity, because a wire connection can overheat [6]. Those are not Insignia products, and a recall does not prove liability.
