Male Enhancement Supplement Warning: Enzyte® Affects Heart
October 22, 2010 – An August 2010 clinical trial published in the Archives of Internal Medicine about the male enhancement medication Enzyte states that taking the drug significantly increased erratic heart behavior. According to the study, Enzyte increased the QTc interval on electrocardiogram, signifying increased risk for developing torsades de pointes, a type of ventricular tachycardia that can degenerate into ventricular fibrillation that can cause sudden death.
Does Enzyte Really Work?
Enzyte has always been a very controversial product. In the past, it was advertised as a permanent penis enlargement solution. When it turned out that enzyte didn’t increase penis size, the manufacturer had to change its advertising and instead claimed that the drug only causes better erections. More importantly, drugmaker Berkeley refused to honor many of the customer complains and refund requests, resulting in scores of lawsuits against the company.
