The remedy is a refund, and Whisper08 is contacting all known purchasers directly. The recall followed the warning CPSC issued on May 15, 2025.
May 15, 2025: CPSC Issues Product Safety Warning 25-262
The Consumer Product Safety Commission issued product safety warning 25-262 on VFAUOSIT kitchen faucets sold on Amazon.com. CPSC told consumers to stop using the faucets because tested faucets leach lead [2].
At that point the seller had not agreed to an acceptable recall. CPSC advised running the water for 15 seconds before drinking from the faucet until it could be replaced.
