The U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) in Oct. 2017 sent Ironmag Labs a warning letter [1] stating that the company’s distribution of Super DMZ 4.0 was in violation of the agency’s Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FD&C Act) because it contains selective androgen receptor modulators, or SARMS, which have been linked to “life threatening reactions such as liver damage, heart attack, pulmonary embolism, and deep vein thrombosis.”

What is Super DMZ Rx 4.0?
Super-DMZ Rx 4.0™ is a “true powerhouse” and the “most potent prohormone product on the market,” according to manufacturer Ironmag Labs. The company lists uses of Super DMZ as “Anabolic & Androgenic,” “Extreme Strength & Power,” and “Increases Aggression.”
What’s in it?
According to the Oct. 2017 FDA Warning, “Super DMZ 4.0” contains the SARM, (2S)-3-(4-cyanophenoxy)-N-[4-cyano-3-(trifluoromethyl)phenyl]-2-hydroxy-2-methylpropanamide), otherwise known as ostarine. The inclusion of ostarine in Super DMZ 4.0 disqualifies the product for classification as a dietary supplement, according to the FDA.
What are SARMs?
Selective Androgen Receptor Modulators, or SARMs, are a class of therapeutic compounds which have similar properties to anabolic agents, but with reduced androgenic properties, according to the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) [2]. SARMs have been prohibited by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) since 2008 due to their “potential to be misused for performance enhancement in sport due to their anabolic properties as well as ability to stimulate androgen receptors in muscle and bone.”

Most cases involving pharmaceuticals allege that a drug was sold with design, manufacturing, and/or marketing defects, which typically refers to a company’s failure to warn of a certain side effect. In the case of The Lieutenant, our attorneys suspect that patients may be able to take legal action in light of claims that Infantry Labs failed to adequately warn doctors and patients about the risk of severe liver damage and cardiovascular complications.
