The Peg Perego Tatamia 3-in-1 Recliner, Swing and High Chair was recalled because of a suffocation risk. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission issued the recall alert on June 26, 2025. The recall is open.
About 950 gray “Ice” units with model number IMTATANA01BL73 are covered. The product was marketed for infant sleep but sits at an incline over 10 degrees. It also lacks required high chair warnings. No injuries have been reported.
Owners should stop using it and ask Peg Perego for a full refund. No lawsuit, MDL or class action has been filed over the Tatamia.
Latest Peg Perego Tatamia Recall Updates
June 26, 2025: CPSC Announces Tatamia Recall Alert
On June 26, 2025, CPSC announced a recall alert for the Tatamia recliners, swings and high chairs sold by Peg Perego [1]. Peg Perego and Amazon are contacting all known purchasers directly.
Which Peg Perego Tatamia Models Are Affected?
The recall covers one Peg Perego Tatamia model, listed here by the details CPSC gives:
- Product: Tatamia 3-in-1 Recliner, Swing and High Chair
- Model number: IMTATANA01BL73, sold in the gray “Ice” color
- Dates: made on or after June 23, 2022, and/or bought on or after November 12, 2022
- Number sold: about 950 in the United States
- Sold at: PegPerego.com, Amazon.com, Target.com and other websites for about $450
- Sale period: November 2022 through January 2025
The model number and date code are printed on the label on the base of the product. Check that label first to see whether your Tatamia is part of the recall.
Why Was the Peg Perego Tatamia Recalled?
The Tatamia 3-in-1 was recalled because it was marketed for infant sleep with an incline angle greater than 10 degrees. CPSC says that poses a suffocation risk.
That angle violates the Safe Sleep for Babies Act and the Infant Sleep Products Rule [2]. The product also fails mandatory warning requirements under the high chair standard.
The Peg Perego recall page also states that the failures pose suffocation hazards, creating an unsafe sleeping environment for infants [3].
Reported Incidents, Injuries, or Illnesses
CPSC lists incidents and injuries for the Tatamia recall as none reported. A recall can be issued before anyone is hurt. Here the action rests on the incline angle and the missing high chair warnings.
Reports to a regulator are not proof that a product caused harm. If a child was hurt while using a Tatamia, keep the product and write down what happened.
What Should Consumers Do?
Follow these steps to claim the refund:
- Stop using the recalled Tatamia at once.
- Check the label on the base for model number IMTATANA01BL73 and the manufacture date.
- Email service@pegperego.com with a photo of the date code and model number label.
- Add your name, full address and phone number to the email.
- You can also call Peg Perego toll-free at 877-737-3464 or use the recalls page at pegperego.com/en_us/baby/recalls.
- Peg Perego then sends a full refund, a prepaid shipping label and packaging to send the product back.
- If the refund does not arrive, file a recall complaint with CPSC.
Legal Options
No court case, MDL or class action names the Tatamia. A recall does not by itself establish liability. A hurt person can ask a lawyer about a claim.
If a child is hurt, keep the product, its base label, the receipt, recall emails, photos and any medical records.
Filing Deadlines
Deadlines for filing a claim come from state law. The time allowed depends on where a person lives and when an injury and its cause came to light.
Missing a deadline can end a claim even when the facts are strong, so check with a lawyer promptly if a child was hurt.
