Berlin Seeds of Millersburg, OH recalled 950 lbs of alfalfa sprouting seed, lot code SAL2-24JB, in a notice posted by the FDA [2]. The FDA updated its outbreak page on September 24, 2026. Berlin Seeds sold the seed at its Millersburg store and on its website from February 13, 2026 to August 23, 2026. One illness was reported directly to the company.

September 15, 2026: Seed Supplier Agrees to Recall

The FDA’s outbreak advisory said the seed supplier of Everything Sprouts agreed to recall alfalfa seed lot SAL2-24JB. That is the lot used to grow the recalled sprouts.

August 31, 2026: FDA Finds Another Grower Used the Same Seed

The FDA said traceback found at least one more sprout grower that used the same seed lot from a common seed supplier. The supplier had not yet responded to the FDA’s recall recommendation. August 28, 2026: Recall Expands to Robust Radish Sprout Mix

August 24, 2026: Two Wisconsin Consumers Plan to Sue
