What's the Problem?
This recall affects Arcimoto FUV motorcycles from model years 2019-2020, according to the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
These FUV motorcycles are equipped with electronic drivers in high voltage (HV) contactors that may malfunction, potentially causing them to overheat. If HV contactors overheat, the battery may shutdown during use and cause a loss of drive power, increasing the risk of a crash, NHTSA said.
Arcimoto is notifying owners and dealers will replace the contactors, free of charge.
This recall began on December 7, 2020.
