CPSC has recalled infant bath seats sold on Amazon.com and warned about others. The newest recall, announced October 8, 2026, covers ONTHEWEI seats, and its refund is open. CPSC says the seats violate the mandatory standard and can tip over.
A tipped seat poses a risk of serious injury or death from drowning. Owners should stop using a recalled seat and follow the refund and disposal steps in the notice.

Latest Amazon Bath Seat Recall Updates
October 8, 2026: CPSC Announces ONTHEWEI Bath Seat Recall
The CPSC announced that ONTHEWEI recalled about 2,140 baby bath seats, Model MY002, under Recall No. 27-018 [1]. The seats sold on Amazon.com in April 2026 for between $40 and $50.
The recalled infant bath seats come with a refund from ONTHEWEI, and CPSC reports no incidents or injuries linked to them.
April 23, 2026: CPSC Warns Consumers About YCXXKJ Seats
CPSC warned consumers to stop using YCXXKJ Baby Bath Seats immediately. The YCXXKJ warning covers about 8,960 seats sold on Amazon.com, under Warning No. 26-441 [2].
CPSC also issued a Notice of Violation to BenTalk, the seller, which had stopped responding to consumer complaints about the earlier recall of these seats.
February 26, 2026: CPSC Announces Trankerloop Bath Seat Recall
CPSC announced that Trankerloop recalled about 2,380 baby bath seats, Model YD-1958, under Recall No. 26-288 [3]. The seats sold on Amazon.com from August 2025 to October 2025 for about $36. Trankerloop offers owners a refund.
February 12, 2026: CPSC Announces CheerKid Bath Seat Recall
CPSC announced that Babibaby and Woot recalled about 590 CheerKid baby bath seats, Model BH-222, under Recall No. 26-266 [4].
The seats sold on Amazon.com in September 2025 for about $35. Babibaby is the firm offering the full refund to owners who contact it.
January 8, 2026: CPSC Announces NFSVLB Bath Seat Recall
CPSC announced that NFSVLB recalled about 1,430 baby bath seats, Model ZY2025, under Recall No. 26-171 [5]. NFSVLB is the seller named in the notice, and owners can ask it for a refund.
The seats sold on Amazon.com from May 2025 through October 2025 for between $25 and $40, and no incidents were reported.
December 11, 2025: CPSC Announces YCXXKJ Bath Seat Recall
CPSC announced that BenTalk recalled about 8,960 YCXXKJ baby bath seats, Model YD-1958, under Recall No. 26-146 [6]. The seats sold on Amazon.com from May 2024 through October 2025 for between $34 and $40.
BenTalk is the recalling firm, and owners can ask it for a refund. CPSC later warned consumers about the same seats.
November 26, 2025: CPSC Warns Consumers About Lucakuins Seats
CPSC warned consumers about Lucakuins Infant Bath Seats. The Lucakuins warning covers about 160 foldable light pink seats, Model KSWZ027B, under Warning No. 26-108 [7].
CPSC says the seats violate the mandatory safety standard. The seller, Bliweek Direct, had been unresponsive to CPSC requests to recall them, so CPSC issued a warning instead of a recall.
April 10, 2025: CPSC Announces Bebamour Bath Seat Recall
CPSC announced that Bebamour recalled about 1,350 baby bath seats, Model T186, under Recall No. 25-220 [8]. The seats sold on Bebamour.com and Amazon.com from May 2024 through February 2025 for between $20 and $40.
The notice offers a refund. Bebamour and Amazon are contacting all known purchasers directly. Owners can also use the recall page on Bebamour.com.
Which Amazon Bath Seats Are Affected?
CPSC recalls name these Amazon bath seats:
- ONTHEWEI Baby Bath Seats: gray, pink, blue and mist green; detachable restraint arms; Model MY002, manufactured 2026/1/10; about 2,140 sold.
- CheerKid Baby Bath Seats: gray, pink and light blue; five suction cups and a rolling abacus toy; Model BH-222; about 590 sold.
- Trankerloop Baby Bath Seats: blue, gray, pink and yellow; two detachable arms, a cup and a sponge; Model YD-1958; about 2,380 sold.
- NFSVLB Baby Bath Seats: blue and white; detachable arms and four suction cups; Model No. ZY2025; about 1,430 sold.
- YCXXKJ Baby Bath Seats: blue, gray, pink and yellow; three toys (a duck, a turtle and a whale); Model YD-1958; about 8,960 sold.
Why Were the Amazon Bath Seats Recalled?
The Amazon bath seats were recalled because they fail the mandatory safety standard for infant bath seats. CPSC says they are unstable and can tip over while in use, posing a risk of serious injury or death due to drowning.
The ONTHEWEI, CheerKid, Trankerloop and YCXXKJ notices use the same wording. The Bebamour notice says the leg openings are too wide, allowing a baby to slip out of the seat.
The NFSVLB notice adds that leg openings allow the child to slip down until the child’s torso can become entrapped, posing a risk of drowning and entrapment. All of these hazard statements are CPSC determinations, not allegations.
Reported Incidents, Injuries, or Illnesses
CPSC reported no incidents or injuries in the ONTHEWEI, CheerKid, Trankerloop, NFSVLB, YCXXKJ and Bebamour notices. Its YCXXKJ seat warning lists none either.
CPSC’s Lucakuins seat warning states no incident count. CPSC asks consumers to report incidents at SaferProducts.gov. Reports are not proof that a seat caused an injury.
What Should Consumers Do?
Owners of a recalled or warned-about bath seat should take these steps:
- Stop using the recalled bath seat immediately.
- Contact ONTHEWEI at onthewei@outlook.com for a full refund of the ONTHEWEI seat.
- Write RECALLED in permanent marker on the front of the seat.
- Disassemble the seat by removing the back rest and arm restraints, then cut the three suction cups on the underside.
- Email a photo of the destroyed seat showing the marked product to onthewei@outlook.com, then dispose of the seat.
