What’s the Problem?

March 27, 2017 - The recalled protein bars were sold over the Internet and at PRO Sports facilities in Washington (Bellevue, Redmond and Seattle cities) from Aug. 8, 2016 to Mar. 10, 2017, according to the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA).

Affected products include Yogurt Peanut Crunch Bars with the brand name 20/20 Life Styles, lot code B.B. 22JUL17 (means best by July 22, 2017), net weight 2 oz., UPC Code 78571 00052.

Pro Sports Club initiated the recall after the company was warned that the bars might contain ingredients related to the larger recall of I.M. Healthy SoyNut Butter.

E. coli are bacteria that normally live in the intestines of humans and animals. Although most strains of this bacteria are harmless, the 0157:H7 strain can cause severe diarrhea and kidney damage. Signs and symptoms of E. coli infection include diarrhea (may be bloody), gas, loss of appetite, nausea and vomiting.

Consumers who purchased any protein bars affected by this recall are urged to discard them immediately or return them to the place of purchase for a refund. To date, no illnesses have been reported in connection with this recall.
