Bushmaster Issues Recall Notice for ACR Semiautomatic Rifles
October 19, 2010 - This week, Bushmaster Firearms International announced a recall for all ACR model semiautomatic rifles. There have been reports of a design flaw that may make the firearm become fully automatic when the trigger is pulled.
According to the company’s announcement “This unexpected firing of multiple rounds creates a potentially dangerous situation.”
The basic Bushmaster ACR semiautomatic rifle sells for approximately $2,700. A serial number search feature will soon be added to Bushmaster’s website.
