What's the Problem?
This recall affects Volkswagen Tiguan LWB vehicles from model year 2018, according to the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
The front seat belt's webbing on affected vehicles may tear during a crash and not adequately restrain the occupant, increasing their risk of injury.
Volkswagen is notifying owners and dealers will inspect the front seat belts and replace them as necessary, free of charge.
This recall began on January 19, 2021.
