To get married in Las Vegas, Nevada, you must first obtain a marriage license from the Clark County Marriage License Bureau by presenting valid identification and paying the required fee. Getting Married in Las Vegas: The Ultimate Guide

According to the Las Vegas Convention, Las Vegas is renowned for being one of the most exhilarating and convenient places to tie the knot in the U.S. Hosting over 150 weddings daily, it’s no surprise that Vegas is dubbed the “Wedding Capital of the World” [1].

Follow these steps to ensure your special day goes seamlessly:

Step 1: Verify Eligibility for Marriage in Nevada
There are no blood tests required, and no waiting period between obtaining your marriage license and holding the ceremony. The legal age for marriage is 18 for both men and women, with proof of age required. Residency in Nevada is not necessary.

Step 2: Apply for a Marriage License in Clark County
Couples can preregister for a marriage license up to 60 days before the wedding date, or apply in person at the Clark County Marriage License Bureau. The Bureau operates from 8 a.m. to midnight, including holidays. The licensing fee is $77 (credit or debit only), and you must collect the license in person.

Step 3: Get Married!
With your marriage license in hand, you have one year to get married in Las Vegas. Whether you choose a chapel or a resort, remember to bring your marriage license and IDs for the officiant. You’ll need one witness at the ceremony, which most chapels can provide if necessary. Exchange your vows, rings, and kisses. Congratulations, you’re married!

Step 4: Obtain a Certified Copy of Your Marriage Certificate
Your officiant has 10 days to file the wedding paperwork with the Clark County clerk. Certified copies of your marriage certificate, which cost $15, are essential for various reasons, including tax filing and name changes. International couples may also need an apostille to register the marriage in a foreign country. Apply for this through the Nevada Secretary of State.

Step 5: Celebrate Your Marriage!
You got married in Las Vegas, guaranteeing that everyone (including you!) will have the time of their lives. The abundance of options, from entertainment and world-class dining to attractions and swanky lounges, means there is something for everyone.

Capture your first married photos at iconic landmarks like the Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign, the Fountains of Bellagio, or the Eiffel Tower at Paris Las Vegas. Enjoy a memorable dinner at one of Vegas’s renowned restaurants, perfect for both intimate meals and large group celebrations.

Experience the magic of a Las Vegas wedding and make unforgettable memories on your special day.
