According to the U.S. Consumer Products Safety Commission (CPSC) [1], this recall affects:
- Woom 4 Model (20 inch)
- Woom 5 Model (24 inch)
- Woom 6 Model (26 inch)
CPSC said the front fork on affected bicycles can detach during use, posing a serious fall / injury threat to riders. The agency is aware of at least 2 reports of the fork becoming loose or detaching.
The recalled Woom Bikes were sold online from August 2018 through March 2018 in the following colors: red, blue, green, purple and yellow. The word “Woom” is printed across the bottom tube of the bicycle frame.
If you purchased a bicycle that is affected by this recall, you should stop using it immediately and contact Woom Bikes USA for a free repair kit. This recall began on March 19, 2020.
