What’s the Problem?
This recall affects:
- 2-pound bags of Wegmans lemons (UPC: 7789015917)
- Wegmans bulk lemons (UPC: 4033)
- Wegmans 4-lb bag Valencia Oranges (UPC: 7789052363)
These foods were sold in Wegmans stores in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, North Carolina, Maryland, and Brooklyn and Harrison, New York.
The recalled lemons and oranges were supplied to Wegmans by Freshouse Produce LLC of Salisbury, North Carolina, which issued a recall after routine testing found listeria on a piece of equipment in one of its packing facilities.
If you purchased any products that are affected by this recall, you should either throw them away or return them to any Wegmans supermarket for a refund. Anyone concerned about a potential food poisoning illness should contact their physician immediately.
This recall began on August 9, 2020.
