Vitamix Class Action

Vitamix is recalling its Ascent™ and Venturist™ Series 8-ounce and 20-ounce blending containers after multiple reports surfaced of the containers separating and exposing the blades, causing severe cuts and lacerations to users.

The U.S. Consumer Products Safety Commission (CPSC) say it has received at least 11 reports of people cutting their hands on the exposed blades, which is why consumers should stop using them immediately.

What to Do

CPSC advises consumers who purchased the recalled blenders to stop using them immediately, and contact Vitamix for a free repair kit.

"For those consumers who own 20-ounce cups or 8-ounce bowls manufactured prior to the design change," said Scott Tennant, Director of Communications for Vitamix. "We will send free of charge an easy-to-use repair kit."

You’ll need to replace the orange gasket with a new gasket, and that’s it. Not tools required.

Can I File a Class Action Lawsuit?

Only a qualified attorney can determine whether you are eligible to file a lawsuit against Vitamix, the maker of the recalled blenders, which is why we are currently offering free case evaluations. Simply fill out the confidential evaluation form below to contact our law firm now. Please note: We are currently only accepting individual lawsuits in the Vitamix litigation. If you or a loved one was injured, we would like to speak with you.

How Can Filing a Lawsuit Help Me?

By filing a lawsuit against the maker of the Vitamix blender, you may be entitled to collect compensation for all current and future medical expenses related to the treatment of your laceration or cut, as well as for damages for pain and suffering. Additionally, filing a lawsuit can help hold the product’s manufacturer accountable for releasing an allegedly defective product into the marketplace, and to discourage other companies from engaging in similar conduct.
