What's the Problem?
This recall affects 4-pound bags of Valencia oranges (UPC: 7789052363) sold at Wegmans stores in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, North Carolina, Maryland, and Brooklyn and Harrison, New York.
The recalled oranges were distributed to Wegmans by Freshouse Produce LLC of Salisbury, North Carolina, which found Listeria on a piece of equipment in its packing facility.
Wegmans has placed automated phone calls to alert customers who purchased these products using Shoppers Club.
If you purchased any oranges that are affected by this recall, you should not eat them, and either throw them away or return them to your local Wegmans Market for a refund.
Anyone concerned about a potential food poisoning illness should contact their healthcare provider immediately.
This recall began on August 9, 2020.
