What’s the Problem?
This recall affects approximately 310 Teckwe multi-functional hair dryer brushes, according to a recall notice from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) [1.].
“The handheld hair dryer brushes lack an immersion protection device, posing an electrocution or shock hazard to consumers if the hair dryer brushes fall into water when plugged in,” CPSC said. “The CPSC has determined that hair dryers not equipped with the integral immersion protection present a substantial product hazard.”
The recalled Teckwe hair dryer brushes are gray and purple, have the brand name printed on the handle, and have 5 interchangeable heads to be used for straightening and styling.
Affected hair dryer brushes were sold exclusively online at SHEIN.com from July 2024 through October 2024 for between $9 and $21.
If you purchased a Teckwe Hair Dryer Brush that is affected by this recall, you should stop using it immediately and contact SHEIN to receive a full refund.
This recall began on January 23, 2025.
The CPSC Recall Number for this item is 25-106.
