Taylor Farms Retail Inc. is now recalling nearly 3,300 cases of various salad blends because they have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella bacteria. Taylor Farms Recall Update 5/22/12: Taylor Farms Retail, Inc. is now recalling a variety of baby spinach products because they may be contaminated with salmonella, a potentially deadly foodborne pathogen. The contamination was discovered through routine testing conducted on a finished package of spinach by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA).

October 19, 2011 – The U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) [1] announced today that Taylor Farms Retail Inc. is currently recalling the following salad blends because they may be contaminated with salmonella bacteria:

These products were distributed in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Kentucky, Missouri, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia, Washington and Puerto Rico and sold in various retail supermarkets. To date, there have been no illnesses reported in connection with this recall.
