"The potential for contamination was noted after routine testing by the company revealed the presence of Listeria monocytogenes in a utensil used to produce the products," FDA said. "Although healthy individuals may suffer only short-term food poisoning symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea, Listeria infection can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women."
The recalled products were distributed to retail stores across the U.S.
If you purchased any foods that are affected by this recall, you should not eat them, and either discard them or return them to the point of purchase for a refund.
Anyone concerned about a potential food poisoning illness should contact their healthcare provider immediately.
This recall began on February 26, 2021.
