What’s the Problem?
This recall affects Subaru Ascent SUVs from model year 2019, according to the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
The low pressure fuel pump on affected vehicles may become inoperative, NHTSA said. If the low pressure fuel pump fails, the engine may stall without the ability to restart the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
Subaru is notifying owners and dealers will repair the low pressure fuel pump, free of charge. This recall began on June 5, 2020.
