What's the Problem?
This recall affects Can-Am Off-Road screw jacks sold as an accessory for Maverick X3 side-by-side vehicles, according to the U.S. Consumer Products Safety Commission (CPSC) [1].
The jacks are used to lift an off-road vehicle so that a tire can be changed, CPSC said. They are silver-colored with a black base. "Can-Am" is printed on the arm of the screw jack.
The recalled screw jacks were sold at Can-Am Off-Road dealers nationwide and online from October 2017 through October 2020 for about $500.
If you purchased a screw jack that is affected by this recall, you should stop using it immediately and contact a BRP Can-Am Off-Road dealer to receive a full refund.
This recall began on December 16, 2020.
