What’s the problem?
December 22, 2010 – RockHard Laboratories announced today that it is conducting a nationwide recall of dietary supplements sold under the brand names RockHard Weekend and Pandora. Lot numbers affected include:
- RockHard Weekend Lot Numbers: 100159 and 100260 sold as blister packs, 3ct bottles and 8ct bottles.
- Pandora Lot Numbers: 100378 sold as blister packs.
The recall was initiated after tests found the RockHard Weekend and Pandora products contain an analogue of Sildenafil, which is an FDA-approved drug used as treatment for male Erectile Dysfunction (ED). The active drug ingredient is not listed on the label for these products.
Sildenafil may interact with nitrates found in some prescription drugs (such as nitroglycerin) and may lower blood pressure to dangerous levels. Consumers with diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or heart disease often take nitrates. ED is a common problem in men with these conditions, and consumers may seek these types of products to enhance sexual performance.
