Our class action lawyers are investigating potential lawsuits for people who were injured by Rexulti (generic: brexpiprazole), an antipsychotic drug potentially linked to uncontrollable compulsive behaviors (gambling, eating, shopping, sex) and severe extrapyramidal side effects.
Free Confidential Lawsuit Evaluation: If you or a loved one was injured by the side effects of Rexulti, you should contact our law firm immediately. You may be entitled to compensation by filing a suit and our lawyers can help.
What’s the Problem?
Our defective drug attorneys are concerned that Otsuka America Pharmaceutical, Inc., may have developed Rexulti in an effort to reclaim profits lost when its nearly identical precursor, Abilify, went off patent protection. Although the two medications are extremely similar in pharmacological profile, Rexulti labels — unlike the labeling of Abilify — do not warn of an increased risk for uncontrollable compulsive behaviors such as gambling, shopping, eating, and having sex.
Side Effects of Rexulti
Serious side effects of Rexulti may include:
- Uncontrollable Compulsive Behaviors – Gambling, sex, shopping, eating.
- Extrapyramidal Effects – Acute dyskinesias and dystonic reactions, tardive dyskinesia, Parkinsonism, akinesia, akathisia, neuroleptic malignant syndrome.
- Suicidal Thoughts – Particularly in children, teenagers and young adults.

Can I Participate in a Class Action?
At this time, the Pharmaceutical Litigation Group at Schmidt & Clark, LLP, has decided against the filing of a Rexulti Class Action, and are only filing individual claims for people alleging injuries from the drug. Rexulti has only been on the market since July 2015, and there have not yet been enough complaints filed to warrant class action status.
However, you can still pursue compensation through the filing of an individual Rexulti lawsuit if you’ve been injured. Contact our attorneys today to learn more about your legal rights.
