What’s the Problem?
This recall affects 2020 Range Rover Evoque headliners, part number LR117807, according to the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
The headliners on affected SUVs may have been improperly manufactured without a metal plate, possibly reducing the headliner’s head impact protection, NHTSA said. The vehicles fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 201, “Occupant Protection in Interior Impact.”
An improperly manufactured headliner may increase the risk of injury in the event of a crash, according to the NHTSA.
Land Rover is notifying owners and dealers will replace the headliner, free of charge. This recall began on May 14, 2020.
