February 6, 2019 – Fiat’s announcement involves 2 separate recalls: the first for 660,000 RAM 3500 pickups from model years 2013-2017, RAM 2500 trucks from 2014-2017, and 3500 chassis cabs. This recall was issued following an investigation by the automaker which found that a bad configuration could prevent drivers from steering the vehicle.
Fiat also recalled another 220,000 RAM 1500 trucks with adjustable pedals from model year 2019 after it was found that certain adjustments may cause the brake pedals to detach during use.

Last year, Fiat recalled about 1.1 million pickup trucks in the U.S. to fix a defect that could cause their tailgates to fly open while being driven.
