What's the Problem?
This recall affects Forest River Prime Time Avenger travel trailers from model year 2021, according to the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
The safety chains that help prevent a total trailer separation on affected RVs may have been incorrectly attached to the trailer.
"If the vehicle trailer becomes detached from the tow-vehicle, the safety chains may break, leading to complete detachment and potential property damage, personal injury or a crash," NHTSA said.
Forest River is notifying owners and dealers will install the missing safety chain attaching hardware, free of charge.
This recall began on July 16, 2020.
