The glyphosate in PondMaster® Surface & Shoreline is a broad-spectrum systemic herbicide and crop desiccant used to kill weeds, particularly annual broadleaf weeds and grasses that compete with crops. In March 2015, the World Health Organization's International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) declared that glyphosate is “probably carcinogenic” after completing a year-long study on the herbicide and its potential health effects. A summary of the study was published in The Lancet Oncology [1].

Most cases involving products liability allege that a product was sold with design, manufacturing, and/or marketing defects, which typically refers to a company’s failure to warn of a certain potential health complication. In the case of PondMaster weed killer, our attorneys suspect that patients may be able to take legal action in light of claims that PBI/Gordon's failed to adequately warn doctors and patients about the risk of cancer, specifically non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
