Polaris UTV Lawsuit Overview

Polaris UTV lawsuits focus on allegations that these recreational off-highway vehicles contain serious design and manufacturing defects that put riders at risk of crashes, injuries, and even death.

Primary concerns include problems with door mechanisms, braking systems, fuel systems, and drive clutch components that can malfunction during operation.

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Polaris has been forced to issue multiple recalls affecting thousands of vehicles due to these safety issues.

In January 2025 alone, approximately 4,200 Ranger XD 1500 models were recalled after the company received 20 reports of doors unexpectedly opening while the vehicles were in motion, creating serious ejection and crash hazards.

What’s the Problem?

Affected models are gray, black, and orange with the words “POLARIS” stamped on the front grille, “POLARIS COMMERCIAL” on the sides of the utility bed, and “PRO XD” on the front fenders.
