Why was the Recall Issued?
The recall was initiated after routine testing by the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) revealed the presence of salmonella in a 4 oz. package of Superior Nut & Candy Pine Nuts. The company has suspended production of the product until an investigation can be completed. To date, no illnesses have been reported in connection with this recall.
