What's the Problem?
This recall affects Pelican Flashlights models 9410 and 9415, which are supplied with emergency response vehicles, according to the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
The recalled Pelican Flashlights contain a battery pack that may explode while charging, NHTSA said. If the battery pack explodes, there is an increased risk of fire and/or severe personal injury.
Ferrara Fire is notifying owners of the affected Pelican Flashlights to arrange for their return and repair or replacement. The manufacturer has yet to provide a notification schedule.
