What’s the Problem?

This recall affects 2020 Nissan Altima S grade vehicles equipped with ProContact TX Continental tires, size 215/60 R16 H, with TIN date code 3320 and Mold ID S-419149, according to the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

These tires may have been over cured, which can result in a sidewall break causing a sudden loss of air or the tread separating from the tire, increasing the risk of a crash, NHTSA said.

Nissan is notifying owners and dealers will inspect the vehicle’s tires to see if they are affected, replacing them as necessary, free of charge.

This recall began on December 10, 2020.

Consult with a lawyer who specializes in automotive defect cases to discuss your legal options, including the possibility of filing a lawsuit.

How does a recall impact a Nissan Altima lawsuit?

This information can be used to support claims of liability and increase the likelihood of a favorable settlement or court ruling.

Can I file a lawsuit if my Nissan Altima has already been repaired?

Yes, you can still file a lawsuit if your Nissan Altima has already been repaired, especially if the repairs were inadequate, did not resolve the issue, or if you incurred significant expenses due to the defect. Consulting with a lawyer can help determine the viability of your case.
