What’s the Problem?
According to the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), this recall affects the following Newmar Motorhomes built on DTNA chassis:
- 2019-2020 Essex
- 2019-2020 London Aire
- 2019 Mountain Aire
- 2019 Ventana LE
- 2019 Ventana
- 2020 Kountry Star
The brake caliper mounting bolts may have been insufficiently tightened on affected RVs, NHTSA said. Loose brake caliper mounting bolts can reduce brake effectiveness, increasing the risk of a crash.
Newmar Corporation is notifying owners and dealers will inspect the RVs, free of charge. This recall began on May 19, 2020.
