What's the Problem?
This recall affects about 2,200,000 Edsal 5-Tier Muscle Rack Heavy Duty Steel Shelving Units used to store heavy items, according to the U.S. Consumer Products Safety Commission (CPSC).
"The shelves can fail to support the 800-pound weight load as stated on the packaging, posing an injury hazard to the consumer," CPSC said.
The recalled units have gray or black-colored steel frames and 5 plywood shelves. Affected model numbers include CR3618, CR3618-BLK, CR4824 and CR4824-BLK.
The Muscle Racks were sold online from January 2015 through September 2020 for between $80 and $90.
If you purchased a rack that is affected by this recall, you should stop using it immediately and contact Edsal Manufacturing for a refund.
This recall began on February 10, 2021.
