This recall affects 2019 Multiquip WT5C Trailers, according to a recall notice issued by the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
The connection points for the safety chain on affected trailers are incorrect, NHTSA said. The incorrect attachment points may result in the safety chains being too short, potentially affecting steerability of the tow vehicle and increasing the risk of a crash.
Multiquip is contacting registered owners, and dealers will fix the problem, free of charge. This recall began on Jan. 24, 2020.
