What’s the Problem?
This recall affects Lidl Powerfix Metal Shelving Units that come in a box marked with article number 314367 and UPC 4017239206062, according to the U.S. Consumer Products Safety Commission (CPSC).
“The recalled shelving units can be missing wall mounting hardware, which is used to attach the shelving unit to the wall to prevent it from tipping or falling, posing tip-over and entrapment hazards,” CPSC said.
The recalled shelves were sold at Lidl US stores in Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Maryland, Georgia, Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York from June 2019 through May 2020 for between $20 and $25.
If you purchased a shelving unit that is affected by this recall, you should stop using it immediately and contact Lidl for free mounting hardware or return the shelving unit to Lidl for a full refund.
This recall began on November 25, 2020.
