What’s the Problem?
August 30, 2016 – According to the lawsuit, Plaintiff Stephen Sullivan was diagnosed in December 2001 with peripheral neuropathy — a severe form of nerve damage that occurs when nerves between the brain and body become severely injured — after he was prescribed Levaquin.
Stephen and his partner Linda hold J&J and Janssen responsible for his condition because they allegedly failed to adequately warn of the potential health risks involved with using Levaquin.
The complaint was filed on July 13, 2016, in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania under case number 2:16-cv-03794-GEKP. Plaintiffs are seeking a jury trial and damages including medical costs, interest, full refund for the cost of Levaquin, compensatory and punitive damages, as well as any additional relief the court deems fit.
The lawsuit sites allegations against the defendants of breach of implied warranty, failure to warn, fraud, negligent representation and product liability.
