What’s the Problem?
November 13, 2017 – Mickey Mouse is shedding a tear somewhere tonight, as the so-called “Happiest Place on Earth” became a scene of madness, as at least a dozen cases of the potentially deadly Legionnaires’ disease were reported in unsuspecting visitors of the Anaheim Disneyland.
The patients, who ranged in age from 52 to 94, lived or had visited Anaheim, and 9 had visited Disneyland in September. One Legionnaires’ patient, who hadn’t visited the park, has died, according to the Orange County Health Care Agency.
There haven’t been any new cases of Legionnaires’ linked to Anaheim since September, the agency said.
“There is no known ongoing risk associated with this outbreak,” the agency said.
