What’s the problem?
December 23, 2011 – The U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) [2] announced today that Kradjian Imp Co. is now recalling 231 cases of the following products because they may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes:
- Cedar brand Tresse Cheese, 16 oz; UPC 78546 01000
- Cedar brand Shinglish Cheese, 16 oz; UPC: 78546 10000
These products were manufactured and recalled by Fromagerie Marie Kade, and delivered to Mediterranean specialty markets in Southern California on or before November 13, 2011. Both kinds of cheese are vacuumed packed and bear the picture of a green cedar tree.
Consumers who may have purchased the items listed above are urged to discard them or return them to the place of purchase for a full refund. To date, no illnesses have been reported in connection with this recall.
