What’s the Problem?

According to a Recall Notice from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) [1], this action affects Konwin branded desktop heaters model number BHN2133.

“The heater’s fan can fail to turn on and cause the unit to overheat and ignite, posing fire and burn hazards,” CPSC said. “The firm received eight reports of fans burning and melting.”

Affected desktop heaters have a white plastic frame with a black fan and black grill covers. The heaters measure approximately 12 inches high and about 10 inches wide. The brand “Konwin” and the model number are printed on a label on bottom of the heater.

The recalled Konwin Heaters were sold exclusively at Meijer stores in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin and Kentucky from September 2024 through January 2025 for between $25 and $40.

If you purchased a Konwin Desktop Heater that is affected by this recall, you should stop using it immediately and return it to any Meijer store for a refund.

This recall began on March 13, 2025.

The CPSC Recall Number for this item is 25-179.
