2011 Hyundai Sonata Recalled for Steering Problem
A recent quality issue has prompted Hyundai to announce a recall of up to 139,500 of its Sonata sedans in the United States for possible steering failure. Sonata sedans produced from December 2009 until September 10, 2010, are subject to recall.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is investigating steering equipment that may have been installed incorrectly and could cause a loss of steering ability. The NHTSA recall will examine the tightness of the joints for fit and finish as well as functionality.
