What’s the Problem?

This recall affects the Home Decorator’s Collection Print Block 4-Drawer Whitewash Chest, Model # HDC-14012, made from mango wood with a distressed finish, according to a Recall Notice [1] by the Consumer Products Safety Commission (CPSC). The agency said the recalled Home Depot Chest of Drawers do not comply with the requirements of the U.S. voluntary industry standard (ASTM 2057-17).

Affected chests are about 44 inches tall and weigh about 96 pounds, and were sold online between May 2015 and December 2019. A white label on the back of the chest lists the manufacturer “Country Art & Craft LLP” and date of production in black text, CPSC said.

If you purchased a Home Depot Chest of Drawers that is affected by this recall, you should stop using it immediately unless it is properly anchored to a wall and out of reach of children. Contact Home Depot for information about how to obtain a full refund with free chest pick-up.
