June 22, 2012 - Healthy Choice Island Blends, Inc. of Los Angeles, CA, is currently recalling the following products because they may be contaminated with Clostridium botulinum spores:
- LIQUID GOLD CARROT JUICE sizes 128oz, 64oz, 32oz, and 16 oz
These products were sold in clear plastic containers in gallon, half-gallon, and quart sizes. Containers feature a white label branded with the words ‘Liquid Gold’ with a picture of carrots and a glass of carrot juice, with UPC Code 7 63213 00130.
Consumers who purchased Liquid Gold Carrot Juice included in this recall should discard it immediately or return it to the place of purchase for a full refund. Anyone concerned about a botulism food poisoning illness should contact their healthcare provider right away. To date, no illnesses have been reported in connection with this recall.
