What’s the Problem?
This recall affects 2020 Royal Alloy GT150 scooters, according to the NHTSA Recall Notice.
The front brake rotor on affected scooters may become uncentered within the front brake caliper, allowing the inner brake pad to dislodge from the top of the brake caliper. If this occurs, the scooter can experience a complete loss of braking, increasing the risk of a crash, NHTSA said.
If you purchased a scooter that is affected by this recall, you should stop using it immediately and have it towed to your Genuine Scooter dealer to have the brake problem fixed, free of charge. Genuine Scooters is notifying all registered owners.
