April 18, 2011 – The U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) today announced that Woodsmoke Provisions, LLC is currently recalling 40 pounds (160 packages) of The Fresh Market Signature Collection Atlantic Smoked Salmon in 4 oz. retail packages with Lot Code 1459/2 (UPC code 737094000370) because they have the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. The products in question were sold in The Fresh Market, Inc. stores in AR, FL, GA, IL, KY, MD, NC, OH and TN. Consumers who have purchased this product should not consume it, and are urged to return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.
Listeria Food Poisoning
