What's the Problem?
This recall affects Forest River Puma travel trailers from model year 2021, according to the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
The outdoor cooktop on affected travel trailers may be stowed away while the propane hose is still attached and the burner is on, NHTSA said. If the cooktop is stowed away while the propane hose is attached and the burner is on, it increases the risk of a fire.
Forest River is notifying owners and dealers will install a complimentary bracket to the drawer housing the outside cooktop preventing it from being closed while the propane line is still attached.
This recall began on January 27, 2021.
