Nine men are suing Merck (MRK) for alleged sexual dysfunction caused by the company’s Propecia, a baldness treatment, according to Courthouse News. The plaintiffs say Merck doesn’t warn that sexual dysfunction caused by the drug can persist after patients are no longer taking it. The men seek punitive damages for negligence, product liability and breach of warranty. Merck shares are up 0.88 % at $34.34.
Propecia Lawsuit Update: More than 50 people from 22 states have joined a lawsuit against Merck & Co. and its subsidiaries for failing to warn the public about the dangerous side effects associated with their male pattern baldness drugs.
