The products involved in the recall were available for purchase directly from the brand online, at their retail location in Eugene, Oregon, and were also supplied to various vitamin and health food retailers across the states, including AZ, CA, CO, FL, IL, MA, MI, MN, MT, NC, NE, NM, NY, OH, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT, WA, WV.

What’s the problem?

The recalled fennel seed was sold in a clear plastic or poly-woven bag marked with lot #25031, which is located on the display panel on the lower left of the label, FDA said. Product was sold from April 2019 to July 18, 2019.

Mountain Rose Herbs initiated the recall after tests revealed the presence of contact our law firm immediately in a portion of its active inventory, according to the recall letter. Production of the fennel seed has been suspended while the investigation into the source of the contamination continues.
