What's the Problem?
Dec. 5, 2019 - Dole Fresh Vegetables, Inc., has issued a recall for a limited number of cases of its Colorful Coleslaw products over potential contamination with salmonella, according to an FDA Recall Notice [1] issued Tuesday. Specific products affected by the recall include:
- 14 oz President’s Choice Colorful Coleslaw, Lot codes B318005 and B318006 (UPC code 0-6038322267-3), Use-by date of 2019 DE 04
- 16 oz Marketside Tri-Color Coleslaw, Lot codes B318005 and B318006 (UPC code 6-81131-38748-4), Used by date DEC 04 2019
The lot code and use-by date are located on the upper right corner of the bag; UPC codes can be found on the bottom left corner of the bag.
Recalled products were distributed to stores in the following U.S. states -- Alaska, California, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon and Washington -- in addition to the Canadian provinces of Alberta, British Colombia, and Saskatchewan.
If you purchased any of the recalled coleslaw, you should discard all remaining stocks immediately, FDA said. To date, no salmonella infections or other adverse reactions have been associated with the products.
If you developed symptoms of food poisoning after eating any of the recalled products, you should contact your doctor immediately.
