C.L. Mike Schmidt has been recognized for the last 25 years as one of Dallas’ top defense attorneys.

Schmidt has achieved three Board Certifications:

  1. Civil Trial Law Specialist,
  2. Personal Injury Trial Law Specialist by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and
  3. Civil Trial Specialist by the National Board of Trial Advocacy.

He was admitted to the New Mexico bar in October 2015 and to the Washington D.C. bar in August 2016.

Schmidt is a Fellow of American College of Trial Lawyers, the International Academy of Trial Lawyers and the International Society of Barristers.

He is a former National Membership Chairman and a Diplomate of the American Board of Trial Advocates. He co-authored The Texas Practice Guide on Personal Injury Law, and has been listed for several years in The Best Lawyers in America, One of the Best Lawyers in Dallas by D Magazine, and Who’s Who in Law by the Dallas Business Journal.

Schmidt is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and was featured on the Learning Channel with a documentary about a wrongful death case in Texas entitled The Magic Bullet. His long interest in the arts led to his serving as Board President of the Millicent M. Rogers Museum in Taos, New Mexico.
